Sneakers by LacosteJacket from Aritzia, Sweater by Whitney Port, Jeans by Hudson

Sneakers for winter are all about styling them right. I love bringing little things like layering socks and tights to a casual outfit. I adore this Lacoste sporty classic runner, the monochrome color palette makes it just a little bit more luxurious than your average walking sneak. I paired them with these gold pinstriped Hudson jeans for the perfect weekend and holiday look all together. Shopping and exploring in comfort for christmas gifts just took on another level of luxury.

I love a good hi-top and this Lacoste sneak is just on another level of sporty luxury. There is something about this Lacoste hi-top that screams fashion, yet totally playful and comfortable. I paired this style with two totally different looks for this season. One pairing kicks with a girly dress and one with playful overalls. The shoes just totally transform both looks into a elevated casual yet totally fun look. Hi-tops can sometimes come off a little bit more masculine, which is why I love mixing them with girly elements such as dresses, and lace.

Flat form Sneakers by Lacoste, Skirt by Freepeople, Coat by Cameo, Scarf from Aritzia, Beanie from Charlie and Lee

I've been addicted to these flat form sneakers since Lacoste came out with the white ones last season. They are perfect in every way. This time of year I am rocking them in black and with tights and skirts and of course for super casual days denim works as a perfect fit as well. Sticking with the monochrome vibe of a dark pair of sneaks, my favorite look for these is a longer skirt paired with a simple sweater and my trusty wool coat to keep me warm. All in all, every type of sneaker is totally wearable for fall and winter as well. It just comes down to styling them appropriately for those cold wintery days out and about. Keeping comfy while dashing from store to store during the holiday rush is key, so hey, sneakers are an obvious go to. Which one is your favorite look?

Thankgiving weekend is a day away, I cant believe it is already time to kick off the holiday season again. These days sometimes families are spread across the country and sometimes gathering together is just not geographically possible even though I wish it always was. So you have the invite to friends giving or your friends families house and you can not show up empty handed. Just a bottle of wine does not feel like you are contributing to the festivities enough and you are just not that crafty in the kitchen. Well I feel the same, so this year I have you covered, myself and my friend Ryan of About a Boy pretested a simple 5 step recipe to the most tasty pumkin pie ever!

1. Go grocery shopping
2. Bake your pie crust which you can buy pre-made and they taste amazing
3. Make your pie filling
4. Bake it while listening to some good tunes
5. Try not to eat it immediately

Ingredients
2 refrigerated pie crusts
1 can pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk (yes they are different)
4 large eggs
3 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Crust
Follow instructions on the packaging... so easy right! Set aside and make the filling.

Pie Filling
In a large bowl, whist together eggs.
Add pure pumpkin
Add condensed milk
Add 3/4 can of the evaporated milk
Stir well to combine
Add cinnamon
Add pumkpin pie spice
Add Vanilla and Salt
Stir

Carefully pour mixture into the pie shells. Place pies in your preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F, then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees. Bake for an additional 35-45 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 2 hours, (Which we did not do and it still tasted amazing) Recipe via pinterest with some of my own adjustments.

No empty hands and just impressed happy and full bellys this Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

I am so excited to share this story with you today. Last weekend one of my best friends, Dylana of Dylana Suarez flew across the country to visit me in Vancouver. I put my tour guide hat on and got to experience Vancouver through the eyes of a tourist on a perfect blue skied weekend. If anyone knows Vancouver they'll understand when I say that sunny days in this city, whether it's winter or summer, are untouchable when it comes to the level of beauty this city and its surroundings have to offer. Dylana and I let our adventurous wandering side loose and not only explored the city but also the breathtaking mountains and forests of the North Shore. We took the gondola up to Grouse Mountain, also known as the Peak of Vancouver and a great escape from the city, to take in the endless views from the high alpine. The smell of fresh pine needles infused the air, a scent I remember well and enjoyed every breath of. On Sunday we hit the famous Sea To Sky highway for a road trip to Whistler, where we further indulged in our mountain wandering spirit and also experienced the beauty of relaxation at the Skandinive Spa - a little slice of heaven in the forest and total must-visit for anyone and everyone! Freepeople has the perfect free spirited boho looks for us wandering souls. When layered head to toe in Freepeople one can't help but feel like letting loose and driving aimlessly into a journey, embracing any adventure along the way. Get out your travel bucket list and head over to the Freepeople blogBLDG25to find out exactly where we stopped for coffee, fueled up on food, and some secret spots we stopped at on our way to Whistler.
